LG GW620 Android Powered 3G Smartphone Launched in India
LG has launched in India its first ever Google Android powered LG GW620 QWERTY Smartphone that features 320 x 480 pixels 3.0-inch HVGA 262K color capable touchscren display and a 5-line QWERTY slide-out keypad.
The new 3G ready LG GW620 Smartphone is powered by Google Android v1.2 Mobile OD and LG’s custom S-Class User Interface and offers a series of apps from news and weather apps, to games apps, Google Mail, Google Maps, Google Talk, Google Search and favourite social networking apps including Facebook, Bebo and Twitter.

Measuring 109 x 54.5 x 15.9 mm in size the LG GW620 comes with 166 MB internal memory and and microSD slot offering upto 32-GB expandable memory and come loaded with Social Networking Manager application allowing Real time SNS updates, and features Real-Time Push Email and offers POP3 and iMAP support.
Weighing 140 gms, the LG GW620 smartphone comes equipped with a 5.0 MP auto focus digital camera with 2560 x 1920 pixel resolution, built-in Flash and 4X digital zoom, video recording in QVGA 320 x 240 pixel resolution in MPEG4 or H.263 format with 4X digital zoom and flash. The camera do supports geo-tagging, face detection and image stabilization.
The LG HW620 also features Auto Face-Tagging and Face-To-Action allowing to call, SMS, MMS or join friend’s social networking site simply by touching their face in a picture.
Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900) and HSDPA7.2, HSUPA2.0, along with UMTS (900/2100, 850/1900, 850/2100) ready LG GW620 smartphone offers extensive connectivity options including GPRS class 10, EDGE class 10, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g wireless connectivity, built-in GPS with A-GPS and USB 2.0 port connection for wired connectivity in addition JAVA MIDP 2.1 support.
The handset also features 3.5 mm audio out port and FM radio with recording option and comes with 1500 mAh Li-Po battery that can provide upto 8 hours of talktime and and is available in India.
